The Midlife Space is a science-based website and community for us all who can’t quite understand how we got here so fast: Only yesterday we were a bunch of bright-eyed youngsters with fresh perms and bleached jeans, and now we seem mainly to be falling asleep in front of our televisions and having sleepless, sweaty nights for really quite different reasons than 30 years ago.
The Midlife Space is mainly about science news and facts about us midlifers and a midlife
crisis transition. We publish articles daily. They are based on news releases from universities and other academic institutions near and far (wherever you may be). Each science piece comes with a link to the original news release and whenever available, also to the original study report.
In addition to science news and views, we are planning to cover various topics of general interest and will also publish opinion pieces (our own and guest authors). If you have something to say and you want to say it on The Midlife Space, I’ll be more than happy to hear from you (petra at midlifespace.com).
We’re not doctors or therapists. If you’re struggling with health or mental health issues, do contact your healthcare provider.
Sometimes we might let our hair down and have a bit of fun, too, as I do believe that laughing together at this stupid and sometimes a little sad stage of life is often the best medicine.
The Midlife Space was established at the end of 2019.
Come along, here you are with friends 🙂
